Casetify Star Wars collection: Bring the original trilogy to life with your mobile gear

Star Wars: A New Hope was released in theaters at eight years old. I grew up a Star Wars fan, with a home filled with original artwork, Topps playing card sets, Lego kits and many other items. When I learned that Casetify would launch its Star Wars Collection on May Fourth, I immediately emailed my contact at the company. The iPhone 13 PRO Max, iPhone 11, and Samsung Galaxy S22 UHT2_ cases arrived just a few days after I flew the Millennium Falcon and was taken into custody by the First Order at Disney World.

Casetify’s Star Wars collection features cases featuring scenes and artwork from A New Hope and Return of the Jedi. All iPhone models are covered, including the iPhone 7, 13, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and S22 series, Samsung Galaxy S21, S22 and S22 series, Galaxy Z Flip 3 & Pixel 6/6 Pro. The graphics available depend on your smartphone model, so make sure to check what’s available. Casetify also offers Apple Watch bands, MagSafe chargers, wallets, and Apple AirPods case as part of its Star Wars collection.

Star Wars artwork can be found on Casetify Impact, Ultra Impact and Compostable cases. A silver Millennium Falcon case was tested on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. A binary sunset on Tatooine cover for the Galaxy S22 Ultra and the iconic A New Hope scene on the iPhone 11 were also tried. Two weeks after the Star Wars collection’s launch, some cases will only be available through the Co-Lab iPhone App.

Millennium Falcon Limited Edition Case

A complete Han Solo costume is in my possession. I also have a replica blaster and a cardboard cutout Han Solo. My online username and Twitter account are based on my love for Palm PDAs, Han Solo and my obsession with Bacca. All of my mobile devices are named with Bacca as Chewy. Casetify was kind enough to send me the Millennium Falcon Limited Edition Case to match my Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Casetify claims that 1000 cases are being made for the iPhone 12/13 Pro Max, 12/13 Pro Max, and 12/13 Pro Max at a price of $149. The limited edition case features the Millennium Falcon inscribed into an aluminum alloy panel. It covers the entire back except for the camera opening. The case looks amazing, with the Falcon extending half-way up the back of the iPhone. On the back, you will find the name of the ship and the Rebel symbol as well as traditional Star Wars logs.

The black border around the camera opening and the Casetify name are surrounded. So that your cameras are protected when you place your iPhone on its back, the border rises just above them.

The case’s edges are made of 50% recycled material and are silver. The case is perfectly sized for the iPhone 13 Pro Max, with large openings and raised buttons. The case’s solid edges provide protection. The case’s edges extend above the display so the screen remains protected when the iPhone is placed face-down on a surface.

Inside the case is the MagSafe circle that magnets are located. Although my MagSafe-compatible wallets can attach to the back, the connection is weaker than other cases. I tried several MagSafe wireless chargers and none of them worked through this limited edition case. Please note that this case only has MagSafe compatibility. Although the back of the case may be thick, wireless payments via Apple Pay are still possible with it.

It looks great in person and is well made. The etched aluminum feel isn’t for my wife, nor are others who may dislike it. Some may find it enjoyable to use their fingers to feel the lines on the Corellian freighter, and bring a little bit of Han or Chewy along with them across the galaxy. This phone case is expensive and will only be considered by Star Wars enthusiasts.

Case for a New Hope

iPhone 7 and iPhone 13 owners have Star Wars options. The Star Wars A New Hope case was a good choice for our iPhone 11. We have three iPhones. Casetify has a variety of cases to suit your needs.

Apple iPhone 11 models are available in a range of prices from $40 to $60. The Ultra Impact model is more expensive due to the extra protection it offers. This is evident with the thicker material at the corners. There are also mirror and compostable options.
